Handmade Hugs is a Project Linus Chapter that provides new, handmade blankets to critically ill and traumatized children.  Since its inception in June 2000, Handmade Hugs has distributed blankets to comfort children in the San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Tujunga, Los Angeles and surrounding areas.  We deliver new handmade security blankets that are sewn, quilted, knitted or crocheted.  They must be washable and in kid friendly colors and/or patterns.  Once these blankets are given to the children, most of them never put them down because they provide so much comfort and security for them in a life that has been turned upside-down by illness or accident.
